I've been drawing things, I promise!
I've just been forgetting to upload things here :(
It's mostly fanart right now; getting an early start on convention pieces so that I have a wide variety of illustrations to sell.  Will try to pump out a few more OcculTango stuff as well as characters from another comic idea (not to be started until OcculTango's completion, of course).

Mazinger Z

A customer at my day job commissioned this piece from me for his son.
I'm not much of a robot artist, but this one had enough curves in it to make it somewhat more comfortable for me to draw.

It's to be printed on a 5"x7" semi-gloss paper.

I may do some minor touch-ups while I wait for the paper to arrive.

Minecraft? Evangelian? WIP

So, because I didn't post an image on Saturday, I thought I would treat everyone with a WIP shot of a commission I'm working on that I received at AnimeDetour.

Not all the colors make sense right now because I just blocked in shapes to begin with and am now, slowly, putting in the correct colors.  I'm having quite a bit of fun with this one.

Yes, he will have creeper guts coming out of his mouth.

Anime Detour!!

No illustration to post today since I haven't taken pictures of any of them.  I've drawn a handful of commissions for the convention.

I went into the convention thinking I was prepared but I was very very wrong.  My set-up looks juvenile and I really don't have anywhere near enough merchandise to sell.  However, I am doing fairly well with all things considered.  It was a crash-course learning experience and I will be over-prepared next time.

I can't wait and I'm excited to create more things to sell at the next convention! :)

I decided to try for a more painterly/whimsical feel for this piece.  I like where it's going so far.

I'm back! (And the 100 Themes Challenge)

Oops.  I've been super busy with working on OcculTango and convention illustrations.

I'm starting a new regimen where I start and/or finish an refined-sketch/illustration every Saturday.
To start off this new schedule, I'll be undertaking the 100 Themes Challenge.

The order I do the illustrations will be random and decided via a random number generator.

And to kick it off, here's number 92: Rape

I thought it was very... eerie that this was the first word I received.  I didn't even realize the word was on the list until I looked to see what #92 was.  I debated on not doing this one and even removing it from the list and replacing it with something else.
Rape is something that severely pisses me off, especially with the rape culture of the country.  It appalls me how people can just not be bothered by it.  All those scenes in movies and shows of rape makes me sick to my stomach and it angers me that not everyone has the same reaction.  I can not understand it.

I played around with a few sketches and came up with this one.  There are multiple hands to represent, not only the attack, but the blaming of the victim for being attacked.
