I'm back! (And the 100 Themes Challenge)
Oops. I've been super busy with working on OcculTango and convention illustrations.
I'm starting a new regimen where I start and/or finish an refined-sketch/illustration every Saturday.
To start off this new schedule, I'll be undertaking the 100 Themes Challenge.
The order I do the illustrations will be random and decided via a random number generator.
And to kick it off, here's number 92: Rape
I thought it was very... eerie that this was the first word I received. I didn't even realize the word was on the list until I looked to see what #92 was. I debated on not doing this one and even removing it from the list and replacing it with something else.
Rape is something that severely pisses me off, especially with the rape culture of the country. It appalls me how people can just not be bothered by it. All those scenes in movies and shows of rape makes me sick to my stomach and it angers me that not everyone has the same reaction. I can not understand it.
I played around with a few sketches and came up with this one. There are multiple hands to represent, not only the attack, but the blaming of the victim for being attacked.

My Bad
My excuse is that I've been cramming to get chapter 5 of OcculTango done on time (lolnothappening).
So, yeah, that's why there haven't been any sketches getting done/posted.
However, I have started a new illustration for OcculTango. Here's a screenshot:
Some new costume designs for Bryna and Duscan which I may or may not use later in the comic.
I need to be better about juggling my day job, comic, and sketches/illustrations....

12/28 + 12/29
DOUBLE PICTURE POST because I forgot to scan in yesterday's sketch. It hasn't even been a week and I'm already failing at this. I'm sure once I get used to the schedule, I'll be able to keep up with it. Just need to get used to it.
ANYWAYS!!
The airgear female fan character again as well as a male one I came up with back in 2008.
I am totally capable of drawing obligatory-women-in-water-and-bathing-suit pictures as well!

Day 3(.5)
Well, it's still Tuesday in California, right?
...right??
Anyways, here's a character-clothing design I've had floating around in my head for a while.
